Create Your Dream Aston Martin and Win!

Aston Martin is world renowned for building high-end luxury cars, and is regularly named as one of the top car manufacturers in the world.

Now, Aston Martin is offering the chance to win a behind-the-scenes trip to their factory in England through their new design competition. The competition allows participants to create and design their own interpretation of the V12 Vantage S – which will be fully rendered by the Aston Martin design team, headed up by Marek Reichman.

The prize offered for this exclusive competition is a framed version of Marek Reichman’s rendering of the winner’s design and the opportunity for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Warwichshire headquarters. There the winner will see the production line and meet the team who is behind the crafting of Aston Martin’s most beautiful cars.

Participants can visit Aston’s website to see the personalization options through its industry-leading “Q by Aston Martin” service. In order to enter, individuals must submit their interpretation of the V12 Vantage S – both inside and out – with an explanation of the design and the features to be showcased.

Rolls-Royce Redevelops Derby Site

Rolls-Royce has announced plans to update and modernize its aerospace site in Derby, England, to create a “campus” for future usage.

The firm, which originally moved to the city in 1906, said some of its buildings in Sinfin, England, are no longer fit for proper use, making them part of the modernization plans. It also wants to re-route Victory Road to create one unified campus with the repurposed campus plans.

A consultation period has begun and plans for the road are expected to be submitted by March. Work on the campus is scheduled to begin in 2017.

“We have been based in the city since 1906 and some of these buildings on our main Derby site are many years old and no longer fit for purpose,” said a Rolls-Royce spokeswoman. “We need to modernize our facilities to help us continue to be competitive and continue to meet the needs of our customers.”

Details for the proposed campus have yet to be finalized, but Rolls-Royce estimates the plan could take more than a decade to complete. Once completed, the campus will provide new jobs, educational classes and, in the end, better vehicles.

Customers Interested in Bentley’s Future SUV

Bentley customers are already raising their hands in favor of the 2016 Bentley Bentayga, which hasn’t been officially unveiled yet. About 4,000 potential customers have shown interest in the SUV, which is more than the 3,000 units Bentley plans on building annually.

The Bentley Bentayga price hasn’t been set, but is estimated to cost around $214,000. This price point, of course, doesn’t reflect different options and packages which will drive the price up. While no other official details have been announced, Bentley has confirmed the eventual option of a plug-in hybrid powertrain; it is expected to come standard with a high-output W-12 engine.

“Bentayga is a name that reflects what we know our SUV will do better than any other car in the world,” said Wolfgang Dürheimer, Chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors. “Combine the best automotive luxury with outstanding performance to take the Bentley experience to new environments.”

Moving forward, Bentley will continue to focus on sales in the US and Chinese markets, which will be important with the launch of the Bentayga. The SUV will certainly be hot in Texas.

Ride Under the Stars with the Rolls Royce Suhail Collection

If you enjoy gazing at the night sky, the new Suhail Collection from Rolls Royce will appeal to you. These special edition vehicles enhance the luxury you already get with a Rolls Royce. Get the details about the Suhail Collection from Late European below!

The Rolls Royce Suhail Collection will be available with all your favorite vehicles including the Phantom, Phantom Coupe, Ghost and Wraith. The Suhail Collection was inspired by the Suhail constellation, one of the brightest constellations in the sky. This constellation has been the source of inspiration for other figures throughout history so it’s only fitting that the iconic Rolls Royce would add it to its line up.

Suhail Collection

Each Rolls Royce vehicle in the Suhail Collection is finished in a moonstone pearl exterior color that mimics the color of the stars. A Suhail star emblem can be found on the exterior of the vehicle so people will know it’s a special edition as soon as they set their sites on it.

The interior of the Suhail Collection vehicles keeps with the same color scheme as the exterior. Light cream leather with turquoise accents creates a light and bright interior, and the navy blue instrument panel and carpets enhance the night sky feeling. The Phantom and Wraith models are equipped with a Starlight Headliner on the inside of the roof and the clock features the Ursa Minor and Major constellations on the face.

This unique design is sure to generate a lot of buzz, as most Rolls Royce things do. We’d love to take a Rolls Royce Suhail Collection vehicle for a test drive and experience the new design up close and personal. Bentley’s $60 Million Expansion

Bentley announced plans in early December 2014 for their biggest site development addition in its history. It will expand the company’s headquarters in Crewe as part of a $60 million investment program.

The addition will house the new Bentley SUV planned for 2016. The SUV was originally previewed at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, and is estimated to cost more than $215,000. More details will be revealed later this year, but it’s predicted to offer a choice of W12 and V8 petrol engines, with the option of diesel and hybrid technology too.

The 11-acre Chesire-based facility will be home to 1,300 Bentley engineers, including designers, R&D staff and technical support. Work on this new addition will begin early this year, and is vital to the future success of Bentley.

“With Bentley’s new research and development center, we will develop a new generation of Bentleys” said Wolfgang Durheimer, CEO and Bentley chairman. “Which will continue our commitment of luxury, performance, quality and engineering excellence.”

The new addition means Bentley has created more than 950 jobs over the past 18 months in preparation for the expansion, and has continued to thrive in the global car industry.

The development was welcomed by George Osborne, Chancellor of the Exchequer.

“Bentley is an iconic British brand that exports around the world. Their decision to create an additional 300 jobs in R&D on a new site providing close to 1,000 new jobs is fantastic news for Crewe and for Britain,” said Osborne. “The investment will not only create jobs at Bentley, but support many more through suppliers across the UK.”

Bentley experienced record high sales in its recent years and looks to continue that progression without compromising the exclusivity of their brand, even with their new addition.

Check out these Winter Service Tips

Even though it may feel warm and sunny today, Texas weather is known for being unpredictable so its best to prepare your car for winter in the event that snow and ice head our way. Late European has put together a list of winter service tips to get your car winter-ready in no time!

Windshield Wipers
Check your windshield wipers to determine if they need replacing. Rain, sleet and snow can decrease your visibility on the road so you’ll want to make sure your car is equipped with properly functioning wipers.

Headlights
We’ve reached the time of year where the days are shorter and heavy precipitation can arrive unexpectedly. Cleaning and waxing your headlights is another way you can improve your visibility on the road, even during less than ideal weather conditions. Waxing your headlights will make them shine and create a slippery barrier that makes it harder for slush or dirt to cling to.

Battery
Cold winter temperatures cause your battery to work extra hard which can place more stress on it. Be proactive and check your battery now and replace it if necessary. This will help you avoid getting stranded on a cold morning with a dead battery.

Tires
Tires are another area on your car to pay special attention to during the winter. Underinflated tires or tires with worn tread are no match for the snow and ice so do yourself a favor and check these things before you hit the road.

Survival Kit
The chances of you getting stuck in your car due to snow is very rare in Texas but it doesn’t hurt to have a survival kit on hand for other emergencies. Create a kit that includes items like a lighter, candle, flashlight, towels or blankets, first aid kit and work gloves. Feel free to customize the kit to your liking!

Late European wants all of our drivers to stay safe on the road this holiday season. If you have any questions about any of our winter service tips or need service for your vehicle, please visit our Austin dealership!
